Multiculturalism, integration and tolerance are probably the most common words in the globalised society nowadays. These are also the main points of the Comenius project meeting 2010 in Mersin, Turkey.
Working in an international class, discussing the most common problems connected with the multiculturalism in the participating countries,as well as applying brain storming methods all students and teachers not only had the opportunity to get to know people sharing different religions, ethnic and cultural beliefs but also managed to bring up creative ideas so that minority groups can be integrated in the society.
The film, “Avoiding culturshock”, which was made during the meeting to the project “Junge Kultur erleben” is going to be send to the European Parliament in Brucsel. After the Comenius project meetings in Debrecen, Hungary in XI 2009 and in Mersin, Terkey in III 2010 the next meetings are taking place in the rest of the participating countries – Bulgaria – Varna, in X 2010 and Portugal – Setubal, in III 2011.
